David Enterline, Managing Partners at Enterline and Partners, and as senior associate with WTW – Taipei Commercial Law Firm, David recently participated in a “Webinar | East Asia Spotlight” organized by the Global Migration Section of the American Immigration Lawyers Association.  Joined by 3 other lawyers in the region: Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia, David presented on key visa, work permit, and residency issues for foreign nationals coming to work and live in Taiwan.

As senior counsel with WTW – Taipei Commercial Law Firm, David often assists the firm to advise foreign nationals and foreign companies to bring their staff to Taiwan for short and long term work assignments.  One of the highlights of David’s presentation was an introduction to the Taiwan Employment Gold Card which was created to attract highly skilled and successful foreign nationals to live and work in Taiwan. Professionals in the fields of 10 areas: Science and Technology; Economics; Education; Culture and Art; Sports; Finance; Law; Architecture; Digital and National Defense, may apply for the Employment Gold Card and obtain the privilege to work and live in Taiwan for between 1 and 3 years, and may then apply for extensions or may qualify for permanent residence.
