As of March 18th, all United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (“USCIS”) in-person services at all field offices, asylum offices and Application Support Centers (“ASC”) are suspended in an effort to contain the spread of the Coronavirus. In-person services are scheduled to resume on April 1st.
USCIS field offices will send notices to applicants and petitioners with scheduled appointments and naturalization services that are affected by the sudden cessation of services. USCIS asylum offices will likewise send cancellation notices and automatically reschedule interviews at the earliest available time. Applicants with cancelled appoints at ASC offices will receive a new appointment notice through the mail while individuals who had InfoPass or other appointments must reschedule through the USCIS Contact Center once the field offices resume normal operations.
According to USCIS, education and precautions are the strongest tools available against infection. For more information, contact http://uscis.gov/coronavirus or speak with a U.S. immigration lawyer in Ho Chi Minh City, Manila or Taipei at info@enterlinepartners.com.
