David Enterline receives an I-829 Approval award at the IIUSA EB-5 Conference in Seattle, Washington

David Enterline of Enterline and Partners was recognized as having obtained I-829 approvals for his EB-5 immigrant investor clients in 2018 and 2019.  David was recognized along with a select group of EB-5 Regional Centers and experienced EB-5 attorneys successfully representing his clients through his position with WTW – Taipei Commercial Law Firm.

The award was presented at the 9th Annual IIUSA EB-5 Industry Forum in Seattle, October 29-30.  IIUSA (Invest in the USA) is the national membership-based trade association for the EB-5 Regional Center Program.  Its members account for a vast majority of capital formation and job creation in the U.S. resulting from the Program.

IIUSA recognizes annual those Regional Centers whose investors have successfully received I-829 approval.  This is the first year that IIUSA has also recognized attorneys who have successfully obtained I-829 approval for their clients.   In most cases, clients will move through the process for a minimum of 5 to 7 years to obtain an I-829 approval; thus successful cases indicate the attorney is experienced in the EB-5 industry.  Does your attorney have successful I-829 approvals?

Visa Restrictions On Travel Agencies Facilitating Illegal Immigration To The United States

Significant action is being taken by the U.S. Department of State to prohibit visas for owners, CEOs, and senior officials of Indian-based travel businesses that intentionally aid illegal immigration to the United States. This move demonstrates the Department’s dedication to upending international smuggling organizations and implementing U.S. immigration regulations. The U.S. Embassy and Consulates in India, India’s Consular Affairs and the Diplomatic Security Service, actively seeks out and targets anyone engaged in trafficking, smuggling, and illegal immigration. Through these initiatives, the Department hopes to hold people accountable for breaking U.S. laws, particularly those who assist illegal immigration. By refusing visas to important individuals in travel companies who intentionally assist illegal immigration, these limitations are a part of a larger strategy to disrupt networks of illegal immigration. The Department of State emphasizes that its immigration policy aims to punish individuals who take advantage of and threaten the U.S. immigration system in

Important Update Regarding F, M, and J Student Visa Application Suspension

Following the United States Department of State (“DOS”) announcement to suspend F, M, and J student visa applications at Embassies and Consulates in response to implementing new policies aimed at social media vetting, DOS has released additional information. While this action immediately impacts plans of foreign and exchange students, DOS has made it clear that it does not stop program operations. All F, M, and J student visa applicants are encouraged to review their social media accounts. Deleting all social media accounts may result in a denial as an interviewing consular officer may conclude that the applicant closed the accounts to hide adverse information.
