  8. Do you have any children?
  9. How much is your annual income?
  10. What are your travel dates?
  11. Have you booked your tickets?
  12. What is the guarantee that you will depart the United States and not overstay?
  13. Are there any specific things that you plan on doing while in the U.S.?
  14. Who is paying for your trip?
  15. Can you provide the name, address and telephone number of your contact inside the U.S.?
  16. Do you have any plans of eventually living and working permanently in the U.S.?
  17. How will be you getting around the U.S.?
  18. After your trip, do you plan on traveling to other countries or straight home?
  19. Have you ever been refused a visa to any country?
  20. Do you have medical insurance in the event you get sick while in the U.S.?

USCIS Proposes EB-5 Regulations to the EB-5 Reform and Integrity Act of 2022

The United States  Citizenship and Immigration Services (“USCIS”) has published aNotice of Proposed Rulemaking that would formally implement regulations to the EB-5 Reform and Integrity Act of 2022 (“RIA”) governing the EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program and the EB-5 Regional Center Program. The proposed regulations represent the most significant regulatory update to the EB-5 program since Congress enacted the EB-5 Reform and Integrity Act in 2022. Although USCIS has already been administering the program under the RIA for several years, many of its existing regulations predate the legislation. Supreme Court Finds Trump’s Executive Order Restricting Birthright Citizenship Unconstitutional 

The United States Supreme Court has formally struck down President Donald Trump’s Executive Order (“EO”) 14160 restricting birthright citizenship. By a 6-3 vote, the Court held that the long-settled understanding of the 14th Amendment, which was adopted after the American Civil War, holds that anyone born on American soil is a natural U.S. citizen with very few exceptions. The Supreme Court’s decision comes after a series of setbacks from federal judges at the district and circuit court levels that began immediately after President Trump signed the EO hours after he was sworn in as the 47th President.  Writing for the majority, Chief Justice John Roberts commented “[C]itizenship, then and now, was the right to have rights—to freely participate in our political community.
