U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has started it’s online filing services for Form I-130 Petition for Alien Relative. An I-130 is the first step to bring a spouse, child, parent(s), or siblings to the United States by a U.S. citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident.
“Form I-130 is on the most widely used USCIS forms” commented Acting USCIS Director Ken Cuccinelli. “As we continue our transition to paperless operations, petitioners can now experience the convenience of filing electronically. USCIS is increasing the number of forms available for online filing to make our agency more effective and efficient.”
The inclusion of Form I-130 brings the total of eight USCIS forms that can be filed online.
Petitioner may continue to file paper versions Form I-130 which are submitted through the mail.
