Enterline and Partners Consulting Celebrates American Independence Day at the American Chamber of Commerce Picnic

Enterline and Partners Consulting recently took part in a vibrant celebration of the July 4th American Independence Day  as a proud sponsor of the annual picnic organized by the American Chamber of Commerce in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The event, held on June 29th, brought together a diverse community to commemorate the spirit of American freedom and culture.

Managing Partner David Enterline, a prominent figure in the business and expatriate community in Vietnam, was in attendance along with twelve invited friends and business partners. Their participation underscored the firm’s commitment to fostering cultural exchange and strengthening ties within the international business community.

The picnic was a lively affair, filled with quintessential American elements that resonated with attendees from all backgrounds. Guests were treated to a feast of American food and beverages, ensuring a taste of home for expatriates and introducing Vietnamese attendees to traditional American culinary delights. The atmosphere was further enhanced by live music, adding to the festive mood of the occasion.

A highlight of the event was the presence of a U.S. Marine honor guard presenting the American flag and the singing of the national anthem.

No American Independence Day celebration would be complete without the iconic figure of Uncle Sam and the event did not disappoint. The presence of Uncle Sam added a touch of whimsy and patriotism, delighting both young and old attendees alike.

Of course, a birthday celebration is complete without a cake, and a specially designed one adorned the event, featuring patriotic themes and symbols of American heritage.

Mr. Enterline expressed his gratitude for opportunity to sponsor such a meaningful event and emphasized the importance of cultural exchange and community engagement while also       fostering mutual understanding and cooperation. “Events like these not only celebrate American traditions but also promote cross-cultural awareness and friendship,” Mr. Enterline remarked. “It’s a pleasure to be part of an event that brings together people from different backgrounds in the spirit of unity and celebration.”

Mr. Enterline were praised  all the staff at American Chamber of Commerce in Ho Chi Minh City for organizing and hosting such a terrific event!  “We look forward to joining year after year”.

Enterline and Partners Consulting’s involvement in the American Independence Day picnic highlights their ongoing commitment to supporting cultural events and initiatives that strengthen ties between nations. As an active member of the business community in Vietnam, the firm continues to play a vital role in promoting economic and cultural exchange between the United States and Vietnam.

New USCIS Policy Aims to Reduce Frivilous and Incomplete Filings

The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (“USCIS”) has amended a previous policy during the Biden Administration which encouraged adjudicating officers to issue a Request for Evidence (“RFE”) before denying an immigration benefit even if the benefit being sought was filed incomplete, the requestor failed to demonstrate eligibility for the benefit being sought, or did not provide initial evidence clearly required at the time of submission. According to USCIS, the previous policy allowed for frivolous or substantially incomplete filings which slowed processing times and led to increased operational costs. The new policy, which was announced on August 5, 2026, restores an adjudicating officer’s full discretion in denying an immigration benefit without first issuing an RFE or a Notice of Intent to Deny (“NOID”). Updated policy highlights include the following:  The revised policy is effective immediately and applies to immigration benefits that remain pending with USCIS or filed on or after

How to Petition Your Vietnamese Spouse for a U.S. Green Card?

Marriage to a U.S. Citizen does not automatically grant a Vietnamese spouse the right to live permanently in the United States. Before a Vietnamese spouse can immigrate to the United States, the U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident (“Petitioner”) must first establish the marital relationship, complete the required documentation and have the process go through the U.S. immigration system. Multiple government agencies are involved including United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (“USCIS”), the United States Department of State (“DOS”), National Visa Center (“NVC”) and the U.S. Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City. Each stage has separate forms, evidence requirements and deadlines. At Enterline and Partners, our U.S. immigration lawyers assist Petitioners with a spouse in Vietnam who would like to bring their Vietnamese spouses to the United States permanently. In this guide, we explain the sponsorship process, the difference between filing as a U.S. Citizen or a Lawful Permanent
