David Enterline spoke at the Global Migration and Wealth Management, East Asia Conference in Hong Kong November 4th and 5th, 2019.

David was the discussion leader on the panel Evaluating the US investment landscape and its appeal to Chinese investors which focused on issues relevant to Chinese investors seeking to invest and immigrate to the U.S., particularly through the EB-5 immigrant investor visa category.

David also provided written Thought Leadership comments on the investment immigration industry in general, and more specifically, the increase to the EB-5 minimum investment amount from US$500,000 to US$900,000 effective November 21, 2019 and its effect on Chinese and other country investors considering the EB-5 route to the United States. Supreme Court Finds Trump’s Executive Order Restricting Birthright Citizenship Unconstitutional 

The United States Supreme Court has formally struck down President Donald Trump’s Executive Order (“EO”) 14160 restricting birthright citizenship. By a 6-3 vote, the Court held that the long-settled understanding of the 14th Amendment, which was adopted after the American Civil War, holds that anyone born on American soil is a natural U.S. citizen with very few exceptions. The Supreme Court’s decision comes after a series of setbacks from federal judges at the district and circuit court levels that began immediately after President Trump signed the EO hours after he was sworn in as the 47th President.  Writing for the majority, Chief Justice John Roberts commented “[C]itizenship, then and now, was the right to have rights—to freely participate in our political community.
